The urgent ringing of a phone wakes Dima in the middle of the night.. A distant voice informs him that an elderly man has died in a Berlin hospital. The man has listed Dima as an only relative and person to notify in case of emergency. Dima's expected on site to make arrangements for the body. This is the first time Dima hears from his father in more than 35 years. Trapped in a web of lies, bureaucracy and destitute, Dima steals the corpse and heads back to Bulgaria. So begins the road trip of a father who has outlived regret and a son still needing to forgive.
