Condemned to roam the underbelly of London as a low-level criminal and a starving immigrant, Belyata (“Menace”) has no choice but to return to his homeland of Bulgaria after serving a short prison sentence in a North London prison, where he rethinks his existence. Upon his return in the bowels of a provincial town in Southwestern Bulgaria he is tested at every corner in the brutal post-communist reality of the streets he grew up on. In a desperate attempt to find his sister, the only remaining living member of his family, Belyata embarks on a violent journey to save her from the crushing clutches of a local extortion gang lead by a corrupt cop.
